It started with a misogynis...oops, aesthetic opinion which inspired me to go against the fashion flow and post a picture showing that you can wear specs and still have oodles of self-confidence. Contacts and Lasik not neccessary.
This led to a surprising development.
My opinions were concurred and one spunky marathon-running assertive sista even started a sexyspeckyblogger flickr photo meme. Wow!
So Secksy -- that's the new word for "I wear specs but I still got the sex...appeal" -- Sisters (and guys who have a thing for specs) unite! Take a picture of yourself. Don't even start to think that you aren't beautiful/hawt/cute/pretty enough! That's the whole point of this. To make a statement that it's not what you look like, it's how confident you feel about yourself, that's what makes you sexy. And don't let nobody tell you that you don't have what it takes to be confident.
I did. I let other people define my self-esteem. Until I realised, everyone's opinion is different. So if I based my self-worth and confidence in another person's perspective, then I'll be pretty much ripped to shreds from all the emotional ups and downs.
No thanks.
So definitely there'll be people who'll look at the pics and think: wah lau, this pattern also can call sexy ah? *ptui ptui ptui*.
Nevermind. I like, can already.
